Gods children, both of us
Poor Beauty, my feathered friend,
Your heart is cold, upon the ground.
Ah, your colours fade to grey
I can see your eyes lose their shine.
Your wings can´t carry you anymore
The sweet melody died out
Oh my princess of the air, your time has come.
You shall never reach the cloud crown.
Let me hold you one last time,
My hands will support you on your last journey.
Lift on your wings once more child of the sky,
For death is the greatest adventure.
Fly towards the light of almighty
But you must go alone, humble and afraid.
How I long to soar away with you!
But I am a human, child of earth,
Born from soil and water, bound to my mother, the globe.
I have no feathers, no wings, we are different
You and I, daughter of the wind, prisoner of the ground.
Now I say my good bye´s, return to me, when I am dead.
I hope, I pray that when I´m gone
I can grow white feathers and be free!
