Gnomes and a fairy tale
The gnomes totter in to watch her turn nights
Her hair in flames, and people around looking in
The freak is once again at it - they laugh
As she stares glass-eyed; gnomes spell treasure time..
Forests perch pretty on her pillow, and guard
Night sounds lullaby their hushed whispers
Little rivulets of silent sadness meander slowly
Down her past, that crazy, nightmarish childhood
And then at midnight, the fairies dance in
When the moon powder down little stars on her
The sadness is over, they chorus the night
And little sacks opened, the gnomes hand out joy
Her soul in hundred fragments; wandering gypsies,
She is scattered in tales, bundled on folk lore
The king of dreams, and the queen of tragedies
They are all her, the jester with no big mission
She laughs, her mirth wrapped around moon beams
The tears she hides go rolling down brown dirt paths
For now she hauls up the joy she can sack forward
Nightmares and trolls kept away till the humans wake up…
