A Lover's Bickering
Deep in my innermost part
I feel her desire,
Her greatest hope,
Is to see me dead.
Why then
The unreasoned bickering
When I tried so hard
To please her?
Maybe she is hurting
And sees me as the cause,
Or my pressence
Reminds her of a former
Lover, uncaring
Or my accent
Betrays my place of origin
Or it's just me being me.
Who knows why she hisses
Could be her natural
Passions are fading
Since the years
Of her erotic love
Have dimmed,
Who knows?
