In Memory Of Peter R. Bruneau
Our lives crossed paths
At work and at school
You loved the lines,
Spaces and planes.
I never considered us close
Maybe because of our
Competitive spirits;
But your smiles
Displayed by the opening
In your front teeth
Is forever etched in my mind.
No one, in person
Told me you passed
I was just wondering
What may have happened
To you or to find
Your general whereabouts;
So I Googled your name
And found your obituary
on the third line down.
Sorry, I did not get
To say goodbye
Or the chance
To offer some comfort
In your time of dire need;
The best I can do now
Is to wish you God Speed.
