I Cry For Children Caught In War
I cry for children caught in war
In my heart their death's a scar
That hurts and pains me through the years
I try to weep these silent tears.
Regrets that they can't run away
To safer places, there to play
Lost legs, lost hopes, their lives aborted
War is the sickle that has harvested
Innocent victims with no defense
Giving reasons that make no sense.
