What A Friend Is
What is a friend?
One who stands with you
Through all the good and bad
Support you all the way through
Be there when you are sad.
One who can forgive
With whom you don't pretend
Though you have no wealth to give
He is always a true friend.
But when mistakes you make
He's ready with correction
He may hurt but not forsake
And will show the right direction
A friend has 'agape' love
You can always be who you are
He is a gift from God above
His loyalty goes very far.
'Wounds from a friend can be trusted,
but an enemy multiplies kisses.'
