Words
It is a deadly
Double-edged knife
That cuts the heart
Completely,
Bleeding strife.
It is the spark
That sets on fire
Tongues of Anger
Devouring
In the mire
All that's bitter.
Words released
Become Reality,
They leave a mark
Some stay
Permanently.
Children remember
Words we said
They stay to heal
Or hurt
Through the years
They feel
The scars
Words birth.
