Olympic Dream
A simple flame that bonds all nations
Fires a cauldron's burning embers
Games to fight of man's creation
Be the one we all remember
World as one at just that moment
Differences all put asunder
Teams excited such involvement
Such spectacle of modern wonder
Heart and soul are not found wanting
Life's sweet dream in second's told
Lived again or always haunted
Bronze, a Silver, maybe Gold
Broken hearts and dreams abound
Someone always has to lose
Your anthem played the greatest sound
All pictures beamed as worldwide news
Raise your banner stand there proudly
Just one moment yours in time
Sing your anthem ever loudly
With your comrades in their prime
World in motion pulls together
Sporting history is made
If only it could stay forever
Dreams could last and never fade..
