An Invocation to God (for a Ph. D. dissertation)
O God of wisdom infinite,
And fountain-head of knowledge great!
We thank you for the ken, you share
With human beings, out of love!
Without your help, our toil can’t fruit;
Without your guidance, we can’t move
Ahead in lanes of achievements,
Nor get success in life on earth.
Philosopher, par excellence,
Do bless our work of intellect!
Help me to understand and ink
This doctoral thesis of mine!
O Omniscient God, Most High!
What man proposes, you must bless;
Your grace divine brings men progress;
We bow to Thee in reverence!
