Black Orpheus
Let us now praise famous men
I mean our black Orpheuses,
They have been blessed by Fama
And they now sing the antiphony
Of the Muses.
How I wished Fama knew me,
Perhaps I might be another Marley.

Like Pan lead his herd of cattle
Apollo I imploy you,
Bring to me mother Fama,
For it is no humour,
I also want to be famous.
.
I have thread and walked
Throuh the shadows of oblivion,
And I am tired of being called a nobody
It is time somebody also called me a somebody.
.
Hades, I beseach thee,
Let out the treasures that are hidden
Deep down your Tartarus,
For it is no sin,
I too want to be wealthy.
.
Dionysus, this day I entreat thee,
Give to me another touch of Midas
So I can build me a home,
That would know no decadence.
.
My cravings are not for wealth and money
But I break each time I see children crying every morning.
.
The needy, they are dying in penury,
Help me bring succur to those who are hungry.
We all live and die in vanity,
While Christ, whose father we all knew
Rules in heavenly.
And my country is never greedy,
The leaders, they only feed the ones
That have too much already..
.
Oh, what a pity!
We have made another Hell on earth,
Who can show me another hell if not here?
And Gaia, had not been too happy.
