Choked up
coming to tears
for the cricket with
the one broken leg
Stefan laid him to rest in the grass
a deep sigh, a hushed gasp
goodbye sable coated mini minstrel
thanks for the many songs shared
sound of jets salute overhead
ongoing journey of a soul
the night now silenced in mourning
