Thundering Voice of Tellus
In a lightless room listening
to the wooly rumble of rolling thunder
storm cloud snares crash
as lightning zaps the skyline
oh thundering voice of Tellus
furious echo of antiquity
fulgurite's genie
granted freedom
from fossilized eternity
oh liberating lioness of storm
awakening the soul
from the slavish slumbers
of ancient lore
summoning spiritus indestructible
with sonorous resilient roar
oh the summer rain speaks with
such soft voiced reverence for life
light touch motherly murmurs
placid pluvial joy
earthen-ferment of ancestral aromas
coming into contact with regenerative
perfumes of emerging new-birth
