From Thirty Thousand Feet
As I sit here and gaze at the earth,
I'm amazed at my image of self worth.
Past my window the sinew of life fleets by;
Arteries and patches and snatches of smoke.
My ego cries out with a shout of dispair
As I stare in wonder at scenes passing under.
The procession is endless. A lesson i'll gain.
I feel as humble as but one drop in a rain.
