May oh May what’s there to say?
You form flowers that drape each day.
Assertive times for plant and creature…
Each day paints another feature.
Bird and mammal with annual brood
Forage forest and field for food.
Green, not brown, now shade of choice;
Outside sound again a festive voice.
More smiles than tears adore skies
As yellow rays evoke spring sighs.
Well May oh May, what’s there to say?
The year’s resplendent from your sway.
