Flight of fantasy.

No moon tonight, the sky is indigo.
The stars appear as points of brilliant light
against the backdropp of the darkling night.
Far too far away for us to ever go.
And yet perhaps in time, you never know.
We may one day exceed the speed of light.
Though until we do we can claim the right
to send our questing minds where we cannot go

Our minds are free to defy gravity
and travel at the speed of thought.
We can indulge our love of fantasy.
Our minds need no technical support
although we know it is not reality.
Things may not be, as we were taught.
