One Minute
Sit quietly for one minute,
a life.....
a wife,
then no one in it.
Listen to the seconds tease,
a man,
drifting by...
so eager to please.
Watch the morphine drip through mama's tube,
her death,
last breath,
because of her boob.
Four seconds of ringing,
waiting to say goodbye,
another life,
clinging,
she's gone..
I tried!
Forget that minute,
another has come,
not wanting to waste it....
yet too numb.
My baby,
so sick,
click click click...
that damned minute! ! !
just chin it...
so broken and weak,
I'm may have to turn to the second,
a minutes to long,
to fix this wreckage! !
