Surface breathe
Face to face
Fist to fist
Feet to feet
Stroke by stroke
Pain above
Peace below
War above
Joy beneath
Flipping through the pages of seconds
Age takes its stand
Flipping through the photographs of memories
Regret gives its hand
You ask when time waltzed by
10 odd years ago, you had your chance
A chance to be better than now
A voice once said 'Give me your hand'
Swimming on you replied 'Heaven helps those who help themselves'
A great fallacy
Your folly swam on
Choices made, consequences seen
A white flag waved
Underneath it all
You hold your breath
And take a minute
And wonder where
Where it all went wrong
The ships' horn blasts just in time
To drown the voice that softly whispers 'I'm still here for you'
You brace yourself and take one more plunge
Time is wasted, chasing chaff
Every new invention has got your attention
Things are loved
And people used
Seeds sown, fruits reaped
Weighed, measured, found wanting
Drown
Air
Drown
Help!
Air
Drown
For as a man drowning cannot be saved while struggling
Heaven indeed helps those who cannot help themselves
Life is an ocean
God is the life raft
Life is a question
God is the answer
The world drowns the voice of Love
A heart that cannot hear Love
Sooner than later drowns in the sea of life....
