Jessica
You have to leave me, I know you must,
Though I've worked so hard to win your trust,
Now I wonder if you ever sussed
My friendship was the fruit of lust.
A girl like you must know the score
And find it such an awful bore
When men wax poetic as they adore
Your company, and then ask for more!
Your sex-appeal can't be denied
And I must admit I feel some pride
That I kept my feelings locked inside
With the precious memories I choose to hide.
This is the parting of the ways
And I know that in the future days
I will find someone else to praise
Because this is just a passing phase.
It shows how fickle men can be
Who swear true love eternally,
Their permanence is transitory
As changeable as you and me! !
