Fragile Glass
Its all so hostile within these walls
Mother screams
Father bawls
Children huddle, listen intent
Mother retaliates, fathers hellbent
Wide eyes, witheld breath
Silenced room, depth
Each sound dissected
Each thud stored
The yelps and pangs cannot be ignored
Theres internal battles due to actions of spite
THe worry most pressing
Will it last to daylight
Summer windows opened so neighbours may relish
Reality distorted
Imaginations embellish
With language most vile no child should listen
Another glass broken so its beauty may glisten
The walls they ache with the stench of abuse
Children's lives wasted
Emotions misused
