Big Toe Free
Too many take risks,
With passion.
To set tracks on a path,
That seem irratic.
But not fanatically placed,
As paced.
With an energy unknown.
Some attempt to fit,
Battered shoes they do not own.
To say they can slip into fighting battles...
With a razzmatazz easily shown.
From fantasies chosen,
And condoned.
Me?
I prefer to keep my big toe free.
I'm not one to create injury,
To add to my own agony.
I prefer to keep my big toe free,
With a tooting of my own horn...
With less of a limp noticed,
As I approach my destiny.
