Planting Corn
To say that I am out of touch,
Is preposterous.
It is said I am a proponent,
Of the strategies applied
By the current administration.
I am appalled by those allegations,
Wholeheartedly.
My family and I are aware of the needs,
Of the common people.
Annually my wife and I take it upon ourselves,
To ensure each one of our servants
Is given a turkey each Thanksgiving without fail.
They are pleased and happy.
We witness their smiling faces.
We are 'there'.
We see this!
In fact,
This very act of 'giving'
Reminds me of John Winn.
Now John,
Was a common man and a good neighbor.
Who grew to learn the value of sharing.
He recommended and devised a method of planting corn,
To supplement income.
An advocate of self sufficiency...
During hard economic times,
What did John do?
He was able to hire a few of his neighbors.
And 'this' is the kind of growth,
My running mate and I feel important.
'And 'where' is John today?
How has he maintained his quality of life,
Under these circumstances.'
Well,
He did pass away back in 1723!
'Three hundred and sixty five years ago? ? ? '
It is not the circumstance...
But the substance of the point I make!
I say we can do these things.
Our workers are the best in the world.
John's ambitious, independent nature...
Is a robust quality just as valued today,
More than at any other time in our great country's history.
My opponent...
He wants to raise taxes on the middle class.
He wants to spread the wealth around.
You see my hips?
See them shift to the left and shift to the right?
I tell you...
When you see them shift like that...
Your taxes will 'not' be raised overnight!
My opponent wants to impose the same policies,
Of King Henry VIII
How can that be justified?
And he took Catherine of Aragon as his bride.
Founded the Anglican Church.
Which later became the Church of England.
And the first king to authorize an English language Bible!
'What policies were those? '
That's besides the point.
But he will still implement them.
His lack of experience poses a threat.
He is a 'socialist' and I stand by my record.
Close to thirty years I've stood right there!
I am a maverick and I know what needs to be done!
And...
I know my history!
Plus...
I assure you,
I do not have daddy issues!
I sir,
Was a prisoner of war.
I know what needs to be done,
To protect our national interests.
And you, Ms Palin?
Your views?
'I've said this before.
And I think this bears repeating!
From my second floor window...
I can actually see them having dinner at the Kremlin!
You betcha!
And that's Russia.
Lots of palaces too! '
