my companion and friend,
there'll be no other like you
in this life again.
Amen to you
for your thoughts and consideration,
to the pleasure you've given
to every generation.
Amen to you,
for your sharing and giving,
for helping all others
from the humblest beginnings.
Amen to you
for your friendship and sincerity,
for your opinions and advice,
your truth, and honesty.
Amen to you
for being there and for your trust,
for being reliable
in your past life and now as dust.
