Quiet despair
I long for the unattainable
A handful of sweets
Ice cold beer
A glass of blissful nectar
Remembered
In the cabinet
A lone bottle of whisky
Sadness left alone
Lack of romance
I’ll embrace the winter sky
And get a cold sore.
