Devil in The Blue Dress
She was masquerading as love
Wearing a thinly disguised smile
Cloaked in pure blue innocence
No shadow would she cast
Her spell was immediate
I reached to lift her veil
But she vanished in front of me
Leaving me to wonder, mouth agape
Was she real or in my mind
And in that moment I knew
It only mattered that I saw her
