you laugh
at the intervals
at the spaces
between
seriousness and
craziness
between lucidity
and insanity
between the interstitial
satire
and the solidity of
desire
this if infinitesimal life
a burst of laughter
between the bangs of the hammer
you guess you made it
he lied
it is someone else
far beyond your imagination
far beyond your control
you look at it again
it looks like you
wearing that hair without
any shampoo
