Sleep Of The Innocents
Look at them lay
Just for a day
Wrapped up in wool
Innocents so peaceful.
Away from it all
So little, so small
Not a mark made by strife
The freshness of new life
They ask not for much
A light loving touch
Warmth and protection
From life's intention.
