Change of Heart
You wiped perspiration from your brow
You know you mustn’t take this seriously as a big blow
So you sat down and tried to get your composure back
You can't pretend nothing happened and you shrugged.
Finally you stood up, and to friends you bid goodbye
Leaving the crowd with your heavy heart and sigh
As you drove your car you shook your head
And murmured, “Oh, this should not be the end.”
From the music inside your car
Still you can hear her annoying sound
Among the crowd she hardly puts on her crown.
This is not the first time, she’s boastful and proud.
She always acts as if she is the best in town.
Many times she hurt you but you didn’t frown
You remain faithful, keep her out of blue
Even though she is not worthy of you.
This was your thoughts as you drove by the street
“Oh yes! ” you exclaimed in relief.
And you stepped on the break carefully.
You told yourself, “I can handle this, she can’t steal my dignity
From now on she can’t gravely underestimate my capacity.
She cannot put me down.
I have my degree and she has none
I have my resolution and it’s done now.
Stay away from her and forget her somehow.”
