Bulky and Beautiful - Burdensome Love
I came to this sleepy village
to manage my aunt's cashew farm
sincerely was on the job, till
bulldozed flat by a fleshy bul-bul
she boards the bus to school
in full view, through the windows of our hall
I tap on her back by a low-key whistle
turning back, she responds with a consoling smile
fatty and bulky is itself a beauty
broad, shinning open shoulders
twin folded curved belly, hot bun cheeks
slow voice, leisurely walk and of benevolent heart
I hang around near the bus stop, every evening
to witness the Jumbo's safe, scenic landing
over-sized breasts jolting very precariously
marvellously on her heels, to a perfect self-balancing
our castes are different and status is the irritant,
before making inroads, I should have clear courage and format
to squarely pole-vault all the barriers - intermediate;
and to weight-lift my big fat-hen above my shoulders.
