Glitter
I sit here in my car
on some dark, dusty road
watching clouds roll in
past a harvest moon
looking up at the brightest star
shining colors on your face
like diamonds in water
I see you glitter
Tired of hopeless feelings
trapped inside this pyramid
of a endless dream
from the things we did
but still I reach for your embrace
I see you glitter
Words that cut like a knife
wounds torn apart at the seam
time is taking you far
to a moment out of place
I'm reaching out to where you are
searching for my soul, my life
I see you glitter
Pressure building inside of me
that make everything I taste
once what was so sweet
now like wine, seem so bitter
as I tried to make you see
still I see you glitter
Hours that seem to waste
on a dead end street
looking back at people I meet
finding myself miss you every day
with the memories I hold
still I see you glitter
Remembering that day in June
it could've been a better way
somehow to make you stay
as I look around this town
I still you glitter
