Wallabies great Rugby nations
chasing elusive pig skin with skills
in national international matches
which makes kiwi blood boil pride
we watched an Auckland bee keeper
explorer mountaineer philanthropist
forge a route through the treacherous
Khumbu Icefall later breach 12 metre
virgin rock face the 'Hillary Step' in
Himalayas near apex Mount Everest
summit as Edmund Hillary wedged
his way up a crack in face between
rock wall the ice to climb on up past
till finally 'A few more whacks
of the ice axe in the firm snow,
and we stood on top.' Conquerors
