Reality bites with its wicked sharp teeth
Yet, another day of emptiness spent
Eating me alive with its caustic erosion
Each moment- another hour despondent;

Even though this depth has been unseen;
The Emerald City cries your name
The Evergreen States knows we are not one
Should it have been? And why wasn't it?
Questions, i ask when day is done;
A fortune in time has been spent in loving you
Far away and forever gone from me?
Surely you must have felt it over the years

Alas, as Puget Sound-your destination-The Sea;
