Mother Earth
Ball of molten elements
At the core
Valleys, mountains
Rivers, plains
Lakes and oceans
On the surface laid
Mother earth
Nurtures all
Living beings
Large and small
Man makes dwellings
Roads and buildings
Dams and tunnels
Drilling and mines
Nuclear waste
Polluting chemicals
Coal and burning
Enveloping smoke
Natural surrounding
For ever compromised
Roaring volcano
Ash covering Pompeii
Tsunami waves
Causing destruction
Pressure from water head
Triggering earthquakes
Reclaimed land
Refilled with water
Earth answers her way
To the unruly child.
