Pleasantly Annihilated By Your Magical Presence
You’re a young sprite
Making your way through the city
Goddess-like along subway trains
Causing tremulous hearts to palpitate
As you smile and toss your dark hair back
Sighing a lover’s dissatisfied sigh
That would intoxicate the dreams of any male
Until he whimpers and cries.
I’ll take my easel through Parisian streets
And paint the world a new masterpiece,
They’ll see you the way I see you,
They’ll understand why I lie beneath your feet.
My heart is lacerated by the cruel knife
Of this unceasing desire,
Your eyes mercilessly tease me
And torture me with harm,
I may very well cease to exist
If you’re ever on my arm.
