Exultationalize
A woman works hard from the start
Sharing outward her heart
An old role and an old part.
In the world which surrounds
She hear this sound, so profound.
'A man, a house,
And a white picked fence.
Dear, daughter that make sense
Every voice repeats the same,
Praising man who she MOST claim.
Not knowing who...she is,
Missing alot of personal thrills,
Really in the long run
Brought cold, cold chills.
Somewhere in the world...
A scream!
Then came this inner-self dream
Woman paddling down a free,
Running stream.
She knew she did not
Want to drown.
The arms are oars...she found.
Being with man was good,
Beginning in her childhood.
Placed and misunderstood
Now to realize...she could!
That ache inside growing wide.
Burning was inner-pride
Woman took it and did not hide.
Marriage if I choose,
The picked fence and house
She would not lose.
The new woman re-fuse,
To be abused.
Off came the bra.
On with the working shoes.
Breaking rocks.
Pouring steel.
Another wo-man hired,
At the mill.
Driving a truck,
There ain't no mo'...sucking up.
