Bunny Is Missin
Bunny is missing
She is out to feed her flock
To save her kittens
But she aint young anymore
And love aint what she's lookin for
A warm bed and a light
Some where to sleep at night
But bunny has been missing too long
After her first trip
The light flickered
Off
and then on
The shrink held her in a trance for a week
Bunny was depressed
Bunny didn't speak
About
THE PAST
In the history class she always came last
First to leave
Slashing her skin on the glass
Bunny has be gone too long
She left a girl with a pink scarf behind
Looking through gates
Wait wait wait
Never arriving
Watching the children
getting their cake
Bunny has been missing for years
And there's a whole rumour
Of somebody basking in 'talk show tears'
Bunny left home left the key in the door
Finding her feet in the street
A peice of meat on the floor
left dangling bloody and cold
Selling to the first bidder
A faustian pact with a soul
Half complete
In taking a trip to the shopping mall
Watching the blood from the tracks in her arms spill
hot cold
Into the electric light of a dream
Tripping the wire
The road and the word scapes
Like home
left luggage
Roam
Room
Rome
Finding her feet
In a wordless street
Of pocket empty
Motifs for
EAT ME ALIVE
To sta sta sta sta stayin ALIVE!
A BEE GEE
First class act
A dance in the dark
In the park
turning around ina circle
Of strangers
And back
Bunny is missing
Some say she was never here
Mind addled
Full of fear
skin riddled by love diseased
SEX
paid dollar and dime
Pound pence
Flesh stretched
old
sold
houses in
crumbling blocks
Bunny was never here in
All this 'real time'
some say she was extinct
If you blink she dissapears
And appears at a sink where
An old bag lady who drinks
stares at a frozen sky
With tears she cannot cry
And when the hustlers pass by
and call out 'BUNNY! '
She whispers ' why? '
