Sweet Waste Of Time
Time is wasted sweetly in your presence
Time is wasted sweetly with indifference
Time is wasted sweetly in your time
For you are my 'sweet waste of time'
No favour past that cannot last
No smile too sweet to beguile
I know your style
Is old trod and tiring
The sentences worn like a pair of oversized teeth
Your smile less Hilary Clinton
More Esther Rantzen
There's something sweet in absence
Wasting time
Useless time is always the most precious
There is no pause
No waiting in a queue for someone to arrive
You are here but quaintly 'absent' I surmise
Your BIG TEETH a giveaway diguise
I imagine you smile at funerals
Or when you're in discomfort
Or dispair
I am tempted to stop the nothingness of wasting
And ask 'Is anybody there? '
The minute cliicks
And swallows up much more than a dime
Your indolence is costly
Your a lazy wasteful WASTE FULL of time.
