Be a Man
i leave my pain on leaves,
torn edges
tears
that turn to diamond
in the cold
i leave my pain on window glass
tinged red
kalidascope
i leave my pain on whispers breath
the wind sweeps dust to form
a tooth
to bite thru truth and justice to
rip
thru understanding
i leave my pain in puddles
murky grey and wet
the ripples can't reflect the fear
obscured the light denied
i leave my pain in alleyways
rubbish filth and spoil
rapt
tightly coiled poised to strike
a snake rests in my skull
all venom and no reason
a fired bullet forward
searching
hunting for
a target
a tiger growls in my guts
ready to tear out flesh and smile
