Drool
social barriers
hold him back
living in his silent world
a prisoner of silence
wearing his fluorescent safety vest
pushing shopping carts
for the well to do
a few times he has
stopped me on the street
with homemade gestures
he's tried to communicate with me
we are
separated by what i hear
and
what he doesn't
i showed someone this poem
and
she said i know him
(doesn't he drool)
