Faith Alive
True faith awakens through The Word
It quickens chosen sheep
But only those who’ve truly heard
The rest remain asleep
It needs to reach man’s heart and soul
Make dormant spirit’s rise
Its then God’s Lamb can make us whole
And open wide our eyes
It opens God’s eternal door
Makes free from death and pain
Upon The Wind we truly soar
Where nothing can restrain
It’s not for fools to play about
It’s not to use for fun
It’s not a gift to those who doubt
Who still refuse God’s Son
For living faith can die as well
Can find itself in jail
Not few have walked the road to hell
Who’ve thought they’d never fail
True faith’s a fruit of Holy Seed
That God through Christ has sown
It needs to drink on truth to feed
Until it’s fully grown
The smallest measure will survive
Will bring more fruit to bear
When in God’s Vine it’s kept alive
Through love and tender care
Developed, faith becomes so strong
Becomes in Christ divine
Through which we’ll sing the victory song
And drink Salvation’s wine…
