For One Night
i was yours for one night
the only one who you held tight
im trying to make the night last
slowing things down so they dont run so fast
but i know
no matter how slow
this night will go
you dont love me so
why are we here together tonight
are you trying to make me feel alright?
because it kills me that tomorrow you wont be here
the love i feel now will all just dissapear
but i guess thats how life goes
one night just for memories i suppose
a night that means nothing to you
but so much to me, if you only knew
forever i will remember your name
after this one night i wont be the same
dont think i will ever forget you
i know it sounds cliche but its true
does this change us, i guess not
how i loved you before, i forgot
but how i love you now i know
and towards the future it will grow
i remember every second of this night
the night i was finally alright
the night i didnt cry myself to sleep
but this secret i will keep
nobody gets me like you do
i love some but none like you
and remembering this night brings back my disease
my sickness where it feels like one thousand degrees
my pain when i dont have you around
a plague that makes my heart pound
this night was great because i was yours
now do i love you more? of course
so maybe we will start from here
or do the exact opposite and switch gears
