I Am Nothing
As I glance around for inspiration
I see nothing
I feel nothing
I am nothing
So I write of the randomness
There on my wall
The bright vibrant colors
Not like me at all
The cute stuffed animals
All over the place
I've collected for years
Yet of me, not a trace
I see cheerful pictures
Of my friends and I
My, how I look
So cheerful, so alive
Ahh...the withering roses
Up there on the shelf
Something to finally
Resemble myself
Once so vibrant
Alive and full
Now blackening
Dying similar to my soul
Until I met you
And the sun again shone
But you'll never know
That you kept me alive
I simply can't tell you
So now... I must die
