Justice wakes up!

'We should put out fire while it is still small'
-Kalenjin proverb, Kenya

Behold Mulundu
The hyena cannot smell it's stench
Justice finally wakes up and she's
Wearing the ill fitting affair
Of those mismatched miner's boots
And her pink tail sucks now just
Like it sucked back in the years of
Her long fossil dinosaur slumber
All along she's been snoring
Hard like an elephant in a coma
But here she rises from her deep
Sleep and she moves on slow unsteady
Hoofs like the intriguing Mokele Mbembe
And hold your breath Mulundu my brother
Hold a true friend with both hands 'cause
She prances before the cameras like this
In a brand new pair of glittering specs
But they're rose colored glasses
And they make visibility difficult
And justice pretends that she still can't see
The horrors of the prevailing injustices
Of the existence of two countries in one country
The law of an eye for an eye in that strange
Country sounds to the trained ear like
If the poor don't eat
The rich don't sleep

The eye is a coward Mu
And maybe Justice is waiting to see a revolution
Happen on the glittering streets
Of her beloved city
Then Justice will really wake to see everything reduced
To a burning hell

Glossary

Mokele Mbembe...'One who stops the flow of rivers in the Lingala language of Congo. It is a water dwelling creature of the Congo. It is similar to the Loch Ness Monster. But it is only I and a few of my trusted concubines who have actually played with it's mountain like front teeth.
