Shopping for the perfect bird—
Dressing, trimmings and the like.
Folks preparing for the 'Day'—
With expectations spiked.
Geared and looking forward to
Such special time of the year,
When kith and kin (old and young)
Will meet, greet and share.
Showing love and kindness
Is an old Thanksgiving trend—
With gratitude to God
For the blessings that He sends.
