The Jealous Fool
She lives in constant terror
A binding vow of despair
Makeup covers the color
The swelling still draws a stare
The phone rings every hour
The tears roll down her face
Every day a renewing hell
Yet she goes back to that place
Raging jealousy absorbed
Thoughts are untrusting
Oblivious to her loyalty
She must be lusting
Keeping power by fist
Obeyed by verbal abuse
Naïve to her feelings
She’s about to break loose
Lending a shoulder to cry
Consoling with embrace
Pity turns to desire
Infatuation takes place
Passion is the catalyst
Love is the destiny
Two hearts join together
Despair turned to ecstasy
The jealous fool cries
Loathing in self pity
The very thing he feared
Turned into reality
