The Night I Lost You
This night,
This very dark night,
Was the night I lost you.
The cold air blew through my hair,
As I watched you fall to the ground.
Slow motion had seemed to take you over,
As you fell,
And I was suddenly empty,
Nothing, but fear flooded my mind.
I lost you to the dark,
I couldn’t see you anymore.
You went down, down,
And didn’t come back.
Why didn’t you come back to me?
I stood in the night,
Cold.
Didn’t know what to do.
I didn’t know why you left.
You had no reason for going.
You just fell,
Fell away from me.
That’s why I’ll always remember this night.
This night,
This very dark night,
Was the night I lost you.
