Lame Game

It's all the same,
When a game is played lame!
It's all the same...
A lame game!

It's all the same,
When a game is played lame!
And the game
Being played...
Is so lame!

It's all the same,
When a game is played lame!
It's all the same.
A lame game!

It's all the same,
When a game is played lame,
And the game being played
By the players who play...
Is so tired and lame anyway!

And lame it will stay everyday!

'Cause they 'got no' shame
To play such tired games
Knowing it's all the same,
When a game is played lame!
And the game stays the same
'Cause no one wants to change
From a game that is lame..
And each day that lame game,
Stays the same!

The Journey (feat. Lateef)

That journey-a call me quick,
That journey-a call my name,
That journey-a call have it's way,
an' have me wonderin' all my days
That journey-a call me quick,
That journey-a call my name,
That journey-a call have it's way,
an' have me wonderin' all my days.
I can't stay home, I gotta keep movin,
I gotta keep doin', I gotta get out,
I gotta roam, it's somethin' that moves me,
It's somethin' that uses me without a doubt,
'cause somewhere abstract coincidence happens,
see someone in passin' while out and about,
next thing I know I'm happily travelin',
puttin' in action ideas that I mouth,
cause I speak it and do it, talk it and walk it,
I'm so bad about it, I shout it out loud,
but try to stay open, the forces in motion,
They keep me on course, it's just clear that i've found (?),
Imprissoned in flesh and reality's blesses,
that made manifest every woman and child,
I'll keep on expressin' reality's lessons,
explorin' my prison until I'm let out.
That journey-a call me quick,
That journey-a call my name,
That journey-a call have it's way,
an' have me wonderin' all my days
That journey-a call me quick,
That journey-a call my name,
That journey-a call have it's way,
have me wonderin' all my days.
Travelin' East and West, on every known highway,
South to North carryin' that torch until I'm old and grey.
Well in the mean time inbetween I'm pushin' through this,
I said in the main time inbetween I'm on my duty.
Sometimes I get beat up, sometimes I'm the beater,
Sometimes man my feet hurt from walkin' so long,
Sometimes I'm defeated, sometimes I get cheated,
Sometimes I just need it, 'cause sometimes I'm wrong,
So the question's repeated, why even try?
When there's rocks in the road, pot-holes in the lawn,
The victory's sweeter when obstacles either,
Are side-stepped or crushed on the way to the door,
So I go on my own, have faith in the road,
I can share that control cause I'm never alone.
I hear the creator speak to me through wispers,
On winds the voices of friends and of foes,
I listen to omens, the things that he shows me,
Shows that he knows me and helps me along,

Journey to Be

I think I'll journey out some day to wondrous lands afar,
Or even chart a journey to a distant blazing star.
But rest assured that when my journey begs to take its cue,
Always know that when I go, this journey takes you too.

We'll start our journey out from here by horse and cart of old,
The seaside docks - and journey pauses - where we shall behold
A noble schooner for the journey primed to launch as planned:
To sail with dolphins cross the seas then journey back on land.

And so our journey goes by foot to conquer mountains tall:
A chapter hence the journey reached, with scenes that should enthral.
But when we tire, let's rest our journey, stretched in fields of flowers,
And bathe atop the mountain from the journey - autumn showers!

Refreshed, our journey takes a turn - we'll venture back for home,
But first we'll let the journey take a tangent just to roam.
And in the winding route, this journey's bound to bide content,
But most of all take heed - let's make our journey life's event.

Lifes A Journey

I say life’s a journey, because life’s something we have once and everything we do and say is something we can’t go back and change. So I look at life as a journey. That I have to live full out, with no regrets. I don’t have time to live in the past or think about all the bad things. Almost all human being takes life for granted, and I don’t want to be one of those people. So I promised my self to never ever live with regrets, so I try to do whatever my heart tells me. And I try to stand up for all my believes, and I can’t do that if I live in the past or with regrets. It’s a waist of time,
Because life’s a journey.

I usually say if you got a dream go for it, because giving up on a dream is like giving up on life and giving up on life is like sitting and asking god to die. I know it’s hard to go for your dream when people tell you, that you won’t make it. So I just tell my self, whenever I fall I get back up, because I won’t give up without a fight.
Because life’s a journey.

What you’ve got if you don’t have faith, I know it’s hard to hold on to, when we live in a world like this. But I always hold on to my faith and my hopes.
My believes is what often keeps me going,
Because life’s a journey.

Life is hard, we all know it isn’t fair but I say stop worrying about what you/we don’t have and appreciate what you/we have. Because whenever you/we have a bad day someone else has a worse day and in worse case someone might be dying,
Because life’s a journey.

This world need some love, I know it’s easier to hate than love but at least could we try to respect each other. We would get so much more out of this journey then, I really believe that. Maybe sometimes we should just start to think about our self’s than everybody else. Because if we keep hate on each other, we will soon see world war 3, and I don’t think any one wants that to happen. I wish we could all respect each other, black and white, blue and yellow, bigger and smaller. Because at the end of the day we all human being on a journey that can end any time. It’s sad but it’s true,
Because life’s a journey.

Life’s a journey till the day it ends and when it ends there is no looking back or taking back. We had our changes only doomsday will show us if we wasted our time on our journey or if we enjoyed the journey and appreciated what we had. When we are at the end of our journey that’s when we have to face death. Many people forget we have to die because they might be afraid, but I’m not because it’s a part of life.
Life’s a journey till it ends.

After 'To Joanna

In his company Joanna laughed:
Clear she thought that he was daft
When he heard the mountains laughing
In his ravishment of mind.

Now the vicar who'd upbraided him
For carving in the rock
Upon whose meditation
The ravishment occurred,
Instead of laughing loudly
At his loftiness of word,
Smiled and looked astonished
Thinking, 'Jackass of a bird.'

Realising that he'd lost him
The poet came to earth,
Told the vicar in plain language
Of Joanna's certain anguish
As she drew into his side
For fear of something that she heard
But to which could put no word.

Now she's gone back to the city,
I miss her laughter, that's the pity.
That's why 'JOANNA'S ROCK'
Is what he's chiseled,
This jackass of a bird.

I wrote this in October-November 2011 mainly in my bed in Adelaide
after reading Wordsworth's
'To Joanna'. The thought about the jackass (kookaburra) I put into
the mind of the vicar comes from an
experience in which I was camping with a friend. Our tent blew in on us one
night and we couldn't be bothered getting out to re-erect it. Instead my friend
laughed hysterically all night. Next morning I overheard the man in the
nearby caravan muttering that if he'd had an axe he'd have killed that
laughing jackass last night.
My friend was like the poet, I was like Joanna, amused by rapture, and
the guy in the caravan was the vicar.

The Journey without shortcuts

The Journey traveled without shortcuts,
is a journey worth taking.
For there are no shortcuts,
to any place worth going.

The destination does not matter,
but the Journey to it does.
For at the destination,
you will not learn anything.

You will not accomplish much either.
On the Journey to it, however,
you learn many things,
and accomplish much.

On the Journey,
you learn. You learn that,
'We are not human beings on a spiritual journey,
but spiritual beings on a human journey.' (-my good friend Joe)

So travel hard,
and travel well.
Choose your companions wisely,
and leave everything behind.

Never look back,
always move forward.
For 'Yesterday is history,
and history is miles away.' (-Matthew West)

But never forget anything either,
learn all that you can,
and treasure the good times.
Then this Journey will be like no other.

This is the Journey,
of life.
Our life here on Earth,
so don't take shortcuts.

This Journey won't be easy,
but you have a guide.
The guide will never leave your side,
and he will carry you through the rough terrain.

He loves you more than you will ever know,
and he gave you this Journey,
so travel it while holding his hand.
You are not alone.

Journey To The Centre Of Your Heart

Take me on a journey
On a journey to the centre of you heart
Let me make the journey
Wanna journey to the centre of your heart
I wanna go, I wanna go
Oh let me go, I wanna go
Baby wanna travel
Wanna travel cross the borders of your mind
Baby wanna travel
Wanna travel cross the borders of your mind
I wanna go, please let me go
I wanna go, please let me go
Take me on a journey
On a journey to the bottom of your soul
Take me on a journey
On a journey to the bottom of your soul
I wanna go, oh let me go
I wanna go, oh let me go
Baby wanna travel
Wanna travel cross the borders of your mind
Baby wanna travel
Wanna travel cross the borders of your mind

And then there were none

There were ten
Waiting by the road
Ready for a journey
Of an entire lifetime

The ten crossed the lake,
But the tenth was too scared
He left the others to their fates
And departed with some joy.

And then there were nine
Walking by the road,
Engrossed in the journey
Of an entire lifetime

The nine walked over a bridge
But the ninth saw a beauty
Pursued her, leaving the rest
And sealed his own fate

And then there were eight
Walking by the road,
Engrossed in the journey
Of an entire lifetime.

As they walked by the gorge,
The eighth saw a tree
Laden with fruits. Hunger
Consumed his life away

And then there were seven
Walking by the road,
Engrossed in the journey
Of an entire lifetime.

As they walked by the mountain
Cold consumed their hearts.
The seventh saw a route
To escape from the way.

And then there were six
Walking by the road,
Engrossed in the journey
Of an entire lifetime.

The trail went on and on
Never showed a sign of ending
The sixth lost all hope
And left the party, disgruntled.

The Journey

the journey

i’m on a journey from within
like a shooting star in between,
could not make no catch though it had all began,
on my way towards a place so clean
sick and tired of the conditions ‘am living in,
swindling my mind
to find
the essence of the blind
side of the story; one of a kind.

in its remoteness but closeness
i could feel it within the heart beat of my wilderness
fulfilling the emptiness
and the loneliness,
animatedly gripping my attention towards
and nearer…

i could now feel the tiredness
through my veins
from the membrane under my skin
furrowing through my sensory nerves to the brain
as if i was electrified, journeying to some sort, so plain
gulling proudly in me, couldn’t feel no pain
for i am to blame
for the fame
of my main aim
to claim the chain
abruptly, back to my mind to think of the same blame
that i’ve been so possessed with.

the osmosis of such thoughts nearly battered me off
but somebody from within me,
whispered through my ear flap not to back off
but to strive for a better me….

like a movie script,
all that trailed were so conversant of the other
that i now see thyself as a true reflection of the shadow
that follows me,
whenever there is radiation from somewhere
and disappears in the dark like a night hawk
but that shadow is really me, and ‘am the shadow,
on the journey though the road too narrow
over reels and gullies,
and over hills and valleys
to see tomorrow
for i’m hopeful to reach there,
and survive through the bow and arrow.

Journey From A Small Place

I think I'll journey out some day to wondrous lands afar,
Or even chart a journey to a distant blazing star.
I make a journey in a paper
A contemplation ink in white field
I make a journey inside the book
Traveling my imagination in the word ocean

I make a journey under the table
A furious food battle on the ground
I make a journey on top of the roof
Transforming myself among the cloud in the sky

I make a journey outside the glass
A different possibility faces on the transparent canvas
I make a journey at the bridge
Clearing the dark shadow with the water current

I make a journey above the tree
An adventure child who never stops to grow
I make a journey over my pillow
Bringing a piece of dream to reality world

Journey Knowing Pain

TheJOURNEY’ of life is full of so many mysteries,
Almost never giving the answers we would to hear.
Cruel and hard as it seems,
The journey continues from day to day,
Week to week, month to month and year in and year out.
Sometimes we feel this journey is so meaningless,
Emptiness fills our hearts, we sadden, we bleed,
Find ourselves without a face
Not wanting to go on any longer
Asking and seeking…is it really worthwhile
To suffer each day so relentlessly
No horizon to been seen, stars they don’t shine
Rainbows have no colours, the sun cold,
Cold as ice, raindrops become your tears,
The wind your inner fears,
The ocean mixing up your emotions.
Flowers wilt as so does your soul,
Songs become just a tune without melody,
The beautiful lyric you once heard
Is deaf to the ear.
You stumble and fall from mistakes made,
There is no forgiveness, no trust, all is gone,
Judged, convicted and sentenced.
How do you pick up the pieces again?
It seem a mission impossible
To far from your reach, the miles never ending.
This is theJOURNEY’ I am experiencing now
The reflection in the mirror a wicked monster,
To be condemned till the day I die
Called a ‘Journey Knowing Pain! ’ for
I cannot just be ‘ME! ’
But in my heart I know that ‘IF’….
I could take back yesterdays journey
It would be the very first thing I would do.
To those who I have shared this ‘JOURNEY, ’
For all the pain, all the wrong, all my mistakes.
Which caused pain and made you bleed and ache within,
As humble as I can be I beg your pardon.
Please look into your heart and forgive me,
Once more I stretch out my hand to you
And ask once more….
Help me turn this ‘JOURNEY’ for the better
And not the worse!

dedicated to: my other wing!

Comments:
There are but 3 JOURNEYS in life.... The Entry, The Exit and the Journey of life itself experiencing each phase as an entity of its own! Share with me a journey of...knowing pain!

Lyrical Journey

Dark circles under her eyes tells
The story of many sleepless nights

Anna takes her mama’s knife
She says she's sick of everything around

One wider cut
One more scar on her forearm…
She bleeds and seeks redemption from suffering

Angel of hope flutters
Oh look around… stars; moon and sun all are yours

She's unmoved and says,
Go, go, go away…
Because life is nothing but a lyrical journey
A long, bizarre and tiring journey

He was a sweetheart,
Someone she counted on
But he said he isn’t ready yet
The price of love is excruciating memories
Lingering, sticking, ashen memories

Anna takes her mama’s smokes
She says she's sick of everything around

One deeper drag
One more cigarette between her dry lips
She puffs and seeks redemption from suffering

Because life is nothing but a lyrical journey
A long, bizarre and tiring journey

She hears the ghosts
Dancing, tapping and teasing ghosts
She locks herself up in the closet
Tears falling, trembling…
Mama, mama… mama I wish I were you

Because life is nothing but a lyrical journey
A long, bizarre and tiring journey

Another afternoon, another lame beginning
In theater she watches her favorite hero
Romancing the beautiful… beautiful girls
The images dwindles in her mind
Like fog enwraps cities, pastures and jungles

Anna takes her mama’s keys and drives out of the town

Homer

The Iliad: Book 18

Thus then did they fight as it were a flaming fire. Meanwhile the
fleet runner Antilochus, who had been sent as messenger, reached
Achilles, and found him sitting by his tall ships and boding that
which was indeed too surely true. "Alas," said he to himself in the
heaviness of his heart, "why are the Achaeans again scouring the plain
and flocking towards the ships? Heaven grant the gods be not now
bringing that sorrow upon me of which my mother Thetis spoke, saying
that while I was yet alive the bravest of the Myrmidons should fall
before the Trojans, and see the light of the sun no longer. I fear the
brave son of Menoetius has fallen through his own daring and yet I
bade him return to the ships as soon as he had driven back those
that were bringing fire against them, and not join battle with
Hector."
As he was thus pondering, the son of Nestor came up to him and
told his sad tale, weeping bitterly the while. "Alas," he cried,
"son of noble Peleus, I bring you bad tidings, would indeed that
they were untrue. Patroclus has fallen, and a fight is raging about
his naked body- for Hector holds his armour."
A dark cloud of grief fell upon Achilles as he listened. He filled
both hands with dust from off the ground, and poured it over his head,
disfiguring his comely face, and letting the refuse settle over his
shirt so fair and new. He flung himself down all huge and hugely at
full length, and tore his hair with his hands. The bondswomen whom
Achilles and Patroclus had taken captive screamed aloud for grief,
beating their breasts, and with their limbs failing them for sorrow.
Antilochus bent over him the while, weeping and holding both his hands
as he lay groaning for he feared that he might plunge a knife into his
own throat. Then Achilles gave a loud cry and his mother heard him
as she was sitting in the depths of the sea by the old man her father,
whereon she screamed, and all the goddesses daughters of Nereus that
dwelt at the bottom of the sea, came gathering round her. There were
Glauce, Thalia and Cymodoce, Nesaia, Speo, thoe and dark-eyed Halie,
Cymothoe, Actaea and Limnorea, Melite, Iaera, Amphithoe and Agave,
Doto and Proto, Pherusa and Dynamene, Dexamene, Amphinome and
Callianeira, Doris, Panope, and the famous sea-nymph Galatea,
Nemertes, Apseudes and Callianassa. There were also Clymene, Ianeira
and Ianassa, Maera, Oreithuia and Amatheia of the lovely locks, with
other Nereids who dwell in the depths of the sea. The crystal cave was
filled with their multitude and they all beat their breasts while
Thetis led them in their lament.
"Listen," she cried, "sisters, daughters of Nereus, that you may
hear the burden of my sorrows. Alas, woe is me, woe in that I have
borne the most glorious of offspring. I bore him fair and strong, hero
among heroes, and he shot up as a sapling; I tended him as a plant
in a goodly garden, and sent him with his ships to Ilius to fight
the Trojans, but never shall I welcome him back to the house of
Peleus. So long as he lives to look upon the light of the sun he is in
heaviness, and though I go to him I cannot help him. Nevertheless I
will go, that I may see my dear son and learn what sorrow has befallen
him though he is still holding aloof from battle."

50 States in fifty states

The journey begins with all forms of transportation, for all speeds and conditions that will persist and exist.
You will travel as far as able with no destination but the desire to see and experience everything within a nation.
Your means are determined by the location and situation with which you find your self in and at the time of needed transportation.
Your journey begins from within the state you reside.
It is from here that you will travel north, south, east, or west in destination for nowhere, but everywhere... somewhere to rest.
You travel through Washington, in the middle of a rainstorm.
Through Oregon you journey along the beautiful but treacherous coast.
California is long and covers many moods, but in the end it is so beautiful.
Idaho, you see potatoes, and Craters Of The Moon, beautiful unless winter, which always comes too soon.
Nevada is next, the deserts are so plain, gambling keeps your mind off of the mundane.
Utah's mountains are a sight to see, tough to travel through but worth the scenery.
Arizona dries you out, unless you’re north away from the drought.
The west-coast is only the beginning, a foreshadowing of what will come in your sojourning.
You see the mountains, and the plains, you journey through forests, fields and rains.
This is only the beginning to greater feats yet pending.
You can travel on, in hopes of dreams that can be fulfilled, or rest yourself and retire at will.
You can travel on to see the hills, the plains, the swamps and the oceans reigns, or you can end your journey having seen enough to fulfill your lives dreams.

There is no problem with this route, it just ends and that is your way out.
For those that continue, come vast amounts of precious venues.
They shall see the political places, the capitols of business, the arts, music, and races. They will find the different paths it takes to make your journey a success.
They will see the many options and scenes that make up this journey we continually believe.
They will learn the ins and outs that make it tough, yet in the end they will be greater and more capable to handle the rough.
This journey takes place now, and until the end.
For this journey is
LIFE from start to end.

Sail Through Your Emotions, Don't Sink

Life, people say, a journey
Indeed, it is a journey through emotions
Life turns dry
If it is without that

Emotions steer the course of life
It drives you take directions

As in a journey there are stops or stages
We too come across in this
Inevitable life journey
A number of junctions
With an emotion stopping us
To take the appropriate direction

A journey could be smooth
And less cumbersome
With emotions not stopping us for long
And demanding tough decisions

Emotions are not absolute
Their nature and extent
Varying with previous journey experiences
As a kid the emotions go unregistered
And the stops do not long last
Journey goes on smoothly for most of us

As we advance in the journey
The emotions become strong
And they get registered
Making us spend long time
In identifying the so called right directions

Checking emotions and not yielding to them
Is indeed a wisdom
And not many are successful
In making this happen

It is well advised
Not to allow your emotions drown you
But to develop in you a float
So that you sail over them

Seeking divine guidance
Developing a taste for artful creations
Looking for opportunities in challenges
Schooling your mind against
Wild and negative thoughts
Heartfully laughing in testing circumstances
And out-of-the-box thinking

Ryan's Journey

There cannot be something bigger than me.
My body and mind it would say.
The things I see and the things I hear.
They must be the only way.

For years I truly believed this.
And then one day I did fall.
The things that I thought were the truth and were right.
It wasn’t the truth at all.

I then set out on a journey.
To places that I’d never known.
It was a journey to go in my mind and my heart.
And to soften my heart made of stone.

I was given a book and some angels.
To lead me on my new quest.
My old journey it brought the worst out of me.
I hoped this new one could bring out the best.

The journey began dark and was painful.
The hurts that were hidden inside.
It was then I reached the first destination.
This place it was called “Ryan’s Pride”.

I thought I was bigger then everything.
But something was bigger than me.
As I walked through the town that was called Ryan’s pride.
I thought to myself how could this be?

In this town I saw so many people.
And they all looked just like myself.
Everything they said they were right, I was wrong.
Time to put this town up on a shelf.

I said farewell to this town.
Down another path is where I went.
It was then I came across another big town.
This town it was called “I Resent”.

Everyone in this town was so bitter.
And the language they spoke was called hate.
They carried these things they called “grudges”.
On a dirty and tarnished old slate.

So I went and I purchased some “grudges”.
Saw the dirtiest slate I’d ever seen.
Then I went and purchased some bleach and some cloths.
And I wiped my dirty slate clean.

The journey of life

The journey of life begun
That fateful day I was born
My eyes opened up blissfully to the sun
My soul, heart and brain emerged as one
Behold my journey had begun!

This little child in time has grown
Yes! Time has flown, time has flown
A lot has been learnt on my very own

Life has been a mystifying journey
With every up and down
With tears and laughter
With hate and love
With stupidity and wisdom
With enemies and friends
But even in my journey of frustration
I have found a means of celebration
In my toilsome exploration to my fateful destination

Tick tock, the clock goes on
Minute by minute, then hourly
Month by month then yearly
Tick tock, and in my journey
I have searched, questioned and answered
Whilst walking painfully along many paths
Sometimes requesting protection
Seeking from above immunization
When hit by obstacles in locations

But I am still on this journey
Shaking hands with the sad and merry
My passion for life which was once raw
Is now confined within the Almighty’s law
For life's journey itself never ends
Once you have reached the end of each road
Uplifting off your entire cloggy load
Be it in a hot summer or a winter’s cold
Behold! A new journey will unfold
