Tooth Decay

It's all busted.
With expectations so cheap.
Lies and deceit.
Let the fiction reap.
Oh reap what she can.
For in this world of the damned
When you make a demand, it is questioned and counter questioned.
As if your never right.
As if you have absolutely no insight.
Try as you might.
You just won't be able to fix her tonight.
No not tonight.
She ugly, she unfortunate, and of her your so blissful.
It is as if she don't exist.
A marker on a map.
A designation area for the collapse.
The poverty level is just to low here.
The perfect spot.
Let the experimentation begin.
Let it spread and rot.
Like your grams a teeth.
One by one the areas are gone.
And as human being it is not fault but our own.

Damned

(young - young)
Dont smoke dont fight dont light no cigarettes
Or else youll wind up in the can
No jokes no rights sit tight dont fool around
You are a guest of uncle sam
Stand up look right dont slouch and stand at ease
Allow no sex above the knees
When I snap you jump into the master plan
Ill be damned
Well Ill be damned
Ill be damned if I drink or smoke
Damned if I steal your joke
Ill be damned if I go for broke
Damned if I do
Damned if I dont
Dont talk dont fool dont try to mess around
Ill make a monkey outta you
You sign your name right on that dotted line boy
Ill be damned
Ill be damned if I drink or smoke
Damned if I steal your joke
Ill be damned if I go for broke
Damned if I do
And damned if I dont, yeah
Come on
Ill be damned if I drink or smoke
Damned if I steal your joke
Ill be damned if I go for broke
Im damned if I do
Im damned if I dont
Ill be damned if I drink or smoke
Damned if I steal your joke
Ill be damned if I go for broke
Im damned if I do
Im damned if I dont
Ill be damned
Ill be damned
Ill be damned
Ill be damned
Ill be damned
Ill be damned

Prince Hohenstiel-Schwangau, Saviour of Society

Epigraph

I slew the Hydra, and from labour pass'd
To labour — tribes of labours! Till, at last,
Attempting one more labour, in a trice,
Alack, with ills I crowned the edifice.

You have seen better days, dear? So have I —
And worse too, for they brought no such bud-mouth
As yours to lisp "You wish you knew me!" Well,
Wise men, 't is said, have sometimes wished the same,
And wished and had their trouble for their pains.
Suppose my Œdipus should lurk at last
Under a pork-pie hat and crinoline,
And, latish, pounce on Sphynx in Leicester Square?
Or likelier, what if Sphynx in wise old age,
Grown sick of snapping foolish people's heads,
And jealous for her riddle's proper rede, —
Jealous that the good trick which served the turn
Have justice rendered it, nor class one day
With friend Home's stilts and tongs and medium-ware,—
What if the once redoubted Sphynx, I say,
(Because night draws on, and the sands increase,
And desert-whispers grow a prophecy)
Tell all to Corinth of her own accord.
Bright Corinth, not dull Thebes, for Lais' sake,
Who finds me hardly grey, and likes my nose,
And thinks a man of sixty at the prime?
Good! It shall be! Revealment of myself!
But listen, for we must co-operate;
I don't drink tea: permit me the cigar!
First, how to make the matter plain, of course —
What was the law by which I lived. Let 's see:
Ay, we must take one instant of my life
Spent sitting by your side in this neat room:
Watch well the way I use it, and don't laugh!
Here's paper on the table, pen and ink:
Give me the soiled bit — not the pretty rose!
See! having sat an hour, I'm rested now,
Therefore want work: and spy no better work
For eye and hand and mind that guides them both,
During this instant, than to draw my pen
From blot One — thus — up, up to blot Two — thus —
Which I at last reach, thus, and here's my line
Five inches long and tolerably straight:

Miracle Man

Im looking for a miracle man
That tells me no lies
Im looking for a miracle man
Whos not in disguise
I dont know where hell come from
And I dont know where hes been
But its not our jimmy sinner
Because hes so obscene
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted
Today I saw a miracle man
On tv cryin
Such a hypocritical man
Born again, dying
He dont know where hes goin
But we know just where hes been
It was our little jimmy sinner
On the screen
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man
A devil with a crucifix
Brimstone and fire
He needs another carnal fix
To take him higher and higher
Now jimmy he got busted
With his pants down
Repent ye wretched sinner
Self righteous clown
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted
Miracle man got busted

The Place of the Damned

All folks who pretend to religion and grace,
Allow there's a HELL, but dispute of the place:
But, if HELL may by logical rules be defined
The place of the damned -I'll tell you my mind.
Wherever the damned do chiefly abound,
Most certainly there is HELL to be found:
Damned poets, damned critics, damned blockheads, damned knaves,
Damned senators bribed, damned prostitute slaves;
Damned lawyers and judges, damned lords and damned squires;
Damned spies and informers, damned friends and damned liars;
Damned villains, corrupted in every station;
Damned time-serving priests all over the nation;
And into the bargain I'll readily give you
Damned ignorant prelates, and counsellors privy.
Then let us no longer by parsons be flammed,
For we know by these marks the place of the damned:
And HELL to be sure is at Paris or Rome.
How happy for us that it is not at home!

Peter Bell The Third

BY MICHING MALLECHO, Esq.

Is it a party in a parlour,
Crammed just as they on earth were crammed,
Some sipping punch-some sipping tea;
But, as you by their faces see,
All silent, and all-damned!

Peter Bell, by W. Wordsworth.

Ophelia.-What means this, my lord?
Hamlet.-Marry, this is Miching Mallecho; it means mischief.
~Shakespeare.

PROLOGUE
Pet er Bells, one, two and three,
O'er the wide world wandering be.-
First, the antenatal Peter,
Wrapped in weeds of the same metre,
The so-long-predestined raiment
Clothed in which to walk his way meant
The second Peter; whose ambition
Is to link the proposition,
As the mean of two extremes-
(This was learned from Aldric's themes)
Shielding from the guilt of schism
The orthodoxal syllogism;
The First Peter-he who was
Like the shadow in the glass
Of the second, yet unripe,
His substantial antitype.-
Then came Peter Bell the Second,
Who henceforward must be reckoned
The body of a double soul,
And that portion of the whole
Without which the rest would seem
Ends of a disjointed dream.-
And the Third is he who has
O'er the grave been forced to pass
To the other side, which is,-
Go and try else,-just like this.
Peter Bell the First was Peter
Smugger, milder, softer, neater,
Like the soul before it is
Born from that world into this.
The next Peter Bell was he,
Predevote, like you and me,
To good or evil as may come;
His was the severer doom,-

Lies, Lies, Lies

[verse 1]
I see you coming through the door
Creepin
Its a quarter past four
And
I smell the scent of cheap perfume
Who is she?
You step in the room
With a guilty look upon your face
Busted
And you started to say
but really baby I can explain
Save your breath
Ive got something to say
[chorus:]
Every word you say is
Lies, lies, lies
And now Im leaving you, so
Bye, bye, bye
And I cant take no more of this
Cry, cry, cryin
You know that you aint @#%$
With your
Lies, lies, lies
Ohhhhh
[verse 2]
Dont bother to apologize
Its too late
Ive heard it all before
And
This should come as no surprise
Im leaving
Ive packed my things
Cause Im through with this merry go around
Im getting off
Ive finally found
My strength waiting down
I should have left your @#%$
After the first round
Ohhhh
[chorus:]
Every word you say is
Lies, lies, lies
And now Im leaving you, so
Bye, bye, bye
And I cant take no more of this
Cry, cry, cryin
You know that you aint @#%$
With your

No One Questioned the Reek

When behavior they 'then' expressed,
Was not addressed...
But to some questionable?
Those of responsibility could have stood up,
To the plate.
No one did this.
But many bit down to chew!
And...
Instead,
An appreciation for that was shown.
With a bowing to lower eyes and heads.

Mixed signals were sent.
And deceit and devilment...
Were given carte blanche signals,
Not to slow down with caution...
But to move like blinded bulls,
Charging through halls...
Where precious crystal and china were used.
And no one confused a 'no' with a 'go'!
In fact...
Honors were given.
And some medals bestowed.

Some folks were given carte blanche signals.
For more of this to be exposed.
And it showed.

And they did...go!
Taking 'everything' with them,
To an humongous cellpool!
A deepened hole...
Where rooms were added.
And pretensions glowed!

With a renovation to extend the existing stench.

Guests were invited and asked to adorn masks.
No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

No one questioned the reek.
It was as if an acceptance grew.

Collide

I felt my heart collapse
On the day that I met him
I felt my heart collapse
It filled up to the rim
I felt my heart collapse
When my eyes traveled 'round
I felt my heart collapse
The one I had found

I felt my heart collapse
When he first touched my skin
I felt my heart collapse
Oh it seemed a lovely sin
I felt my heart collapse
It fell without a sound
I felt my heart collapse
Oh I knew I had found

I felt my heart collapse
When we shared that first kiss
I felt my heart collapse
I thought that I would almost miss
I felt my heart collapse
I was lost in his embrace
I felt my heart collapse
I kept staring at his face

Oh my heart collapsed on that day
Ever since it's been that same way
My love for you has not faded
Ever since the day it escaped

Great Expectations

Youre sittin in your seat
And then you stand and clutch your breast
Our music drives you wild along with the rest
You watch me singing this song
You see what my mouth can do
And you wish you were the one I was doing it to
And you watch me playin guitar
And you feel what my fingers can do
And you wish you were the one I was doing it to
Well, listen
Youve got great expectations
Youve got great expectations
Youre dying to be seen
And you wave and call my name
But in the day it seems that Im a million miles away
You watch me beatin my drum
And you know what my hands can do
And you wish you were the one I was doing it to
Well, listen
Youve got great expectations
Youve got great expectations
Youve got great expectations
Then you feels these eyes from the stage
And you see me staring at you
And you hear between the lines, my voice is calling to you
Well, listen
Youve got great expectations
Youve got great expectations
Youve got great expectations, do you want to play the role
Youve got great expectations, youd even sell me your soul
Youve got great expectations
Youve got great expectations
Youve got great expectations, do you want to play the role
Youve got great expectations, youd even sell me your soul
Youve got great expectations, as long as you can play the role
Youve got great expectations

I Just Wanna Have Something To Do

Hanging out on Second Avenue,
Eating chicken vindaloo,
I just wanna be with you,
I just wanna have something to do.
Tonight, tonight, tonight,
Tonight, tonight, tonight,
Well alright!
Tonight, tonight, tonight,
Tonight, tonight, tonight.
Wait! Now!
Wait! Now!
Hanging out all by myself,
I don't want to be with anybody else,
I just wanna be with you,
I just wanna have something to do.
Tonight, tonight, tonight,
Tonight, tonight,
Well alright!
Tonight, tonight, tonight,
Tonight, tonight, tonight.
Wait! Now!
Wait! Now!
Tonight, tonight, tonight,
Tonight, tonight, tonight.
Hanging out all by myself,
I don't want to be with anybody else,
I just wanna be with you,
I just wanna have something to do.
Tonight, tonight, tonight,
Tonight, tonight,
Well alright!
Tonight, tonight,(wait!),
Tonight, tonight, well alright, (wait!),
Tonight, tonight, tonight, (wait now!),
Tonight, tonight, tonight, (wait now!).

Tale XVIII

THE WAGER.

Counter and Clubb were men in trade, whose pains,
Credit, and prudence, brought them constant gains;
Partners and punctual, every friend agreed
Counter and Clubb were men who must succeed.
When they had fix'd some little time in life,
Each thought of taking to himself a wife:
As men in trade alike, as men in love,
They seem'd with no according views to move;
As certain ores in outward view the same,
They show'd their difference when the magnet came.
Counter was vain: with spirit strong and high,
'Twas not in him like suppliant swain to sigh:
'His wife might o'er his men and maids preside,
And in her province be a judge and guide;
But what he thought, or did, or wish'd to do,
She must not know, or censure if she knew;
At home, abroad, by day, by night, if he
On aught determined, so it was to be:
How is a man,' he ask'd, 'for business fit,
Who to a female can his will submit?
Absent a while, let no inquiring eye
Or plainer speech presume to question why:
But all be silent; and, when seen again,
Let all be cheerful--shall a wife complain?
Friends I invite, and who shall dare t'object,
Or look on them with coolness or neglect?
No! I must ever of my house be head,
And, thus obey'd, I condescend to wed.'
Clubb heard the speech--'My friend is nice, said

he;
A wife with less respect will do for me:
How is he certain such a prize to gain?
What he approves, a lass may learn to feign,
And so affect t'obey till she begins to reign;
A while complying, she may vary then,
And be as wives of more unwary men;
Beside, to him who plays such lordly part,
How shall a tender creature yield her heart;
Should he the promised confidence refuse,
She may another more confiding choose;
May show her anger, yet her purpose hide,
And wake his jealousy, and wound his pride.
In one so humbled, who can trace the friend?
I on an equal, not a slave, depend;
If true, my confidence is wisely placed,
And being false, she only is disgraced.'
Clubb, with these notions, cast his eye around;

Lara. A Tale

The Serfs are glad through Lara's wide domain,
And slavery half forgets her feudal chain;
He, their unhoped, but unforgotten lord--
The long self-exiled chieftain is restored:
There be bright faces in the busy hall,
Bowls on the board, and banners on the wall;
Far chequering o'er the pictured window, plays
The unwonted fagots' hospitable blaze;
And gay retainers gather round the hearth,
With tongues all loudness, and with eyes all mirth.

II.
The chief of Lara is return'd again:
And why had Lara cross'd the bounding main?
Left by his sire, too young such loss to know,
Lord of himself;--that heritage of woe,
That fearful empire which the human breast
But holds to rob the heart within of rest!--
With none to check, and few to point in time
The thousand paths that slope the way to crime;
Then, when he most required commandment, then
Had Lara's daring boyhood govern'd men.
It skills not, boots not, step by step to trace
His youth through all the mazes of its race;
Short was the course his restlessness had run,
But long enough to leave him half undone.

III.
And Lara left in youth his fatherland;
But from the hour he waved his parting hand
Each trace wax'd fainter of his course, till all
Had nearly ceased his memory to recall.
His sire was dust, his vassals could declare,
'Twas all they knew, that Lara was not there;
Nor sent, nor came he, till conjecture grew
Cold in the many, anxious in the few.
His hall scarce echoes with his wonted name,
His portrait darkens in its fading frame,
Another chief consoled his destined bride,
The young forgot him, and the old had died;
'Yet doth he live!' exclaims the impatient heir,
And sighs for sables which he must not wear.
A hundred scutcheons deck with gloomy grace
The Laras' last and longest dwelling-place;
But one is absent from the mouldering file,
That now were welcome to that Gothic pile.

IV.
He comes at last in sudden loneliness,
And whence they know not, why they need not guess;

Getting Louder

Tonight is mine.
Tonight is just fine.
Tonight the last night anything and everything will be the same.
Time for change.

And let it get louder.

Tonight is mine.
Tonight is just fine.
Tonight is the last night anything and everything will be the same.
Time for change.

From an unobscured view I look down upon you.
And I just know it is fate.
I laugh, you laugh.
We made our choice on what we will do.
Barely surviving.
Living by each moment as if it was or last.
Love happens so fast.

Tonight is mine.
Tonight is just fine.
Tonight the last night anything and everything will be the same.
Time for change.

And let it get louder.

Tonight is mine.
Tonight is just fine.
Tonight the last night anything and everything will be the same.
Time for change.

We argue over the important things.
Nothing simple will ever divide us.
Connected at the hip.
Souls intertwined.
My god your so divine.
But personality is the important secret beneath the layers that are shed.
I'll be forever happy to have you each morning wake in my bed.

Tonight is mine.
Tonight is just fine.
Tonight the last night anything and everything will be the same.
Time for change.

And let it get louder.

Tonight is mine.
Tonight is just fine.
Tonight the last night anything and everything will be the same.

In Demand

When we were together I was blown away
Just like paper from a fan
But you would act like I was just a kid
Like we were never gonna last
Now Ive got someone who cares for me
He wrote my name in silver sands
I think you know youve lost the love of your life
(and you said) I was the best youve ever had
Because Im in demand
Youre thinking of the way you shoulda held my hand
And all the times you said you didnt understand
You never had our love written in your plans
But now Im in demand
Dont ever think you saw the best in me
Theres a side youll never know
Cos love and loving are too different things
Set your sites far too low
Now Ive got someone who cares for me
He wrote my name in silver sands
I think you know youve lost the love of your life
(and you said) I was the best youve ever had
Because Im in demand
Youre thinking of the way you shoulda held my hand
And all the times you said you didnt understand
You never had our love written in your plans
But now Im in demand
Youre thinking of the way you shoulda held my hand
And all the times you said you didnt understand
You never had our love written in your plans
But now Im in demand
Its only when I fall asleep
I see that winning smile
When my dreams just move along
Youve lost the race by miles
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(never had our love written in your plans)
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Because Im in demand
Youre thinking of the way you shoulda held my hand
And all the times you said you didnt understand
You never had our love written in your plans
But now Im in demand
You know Im in demand
You see Im in demand
You know Im in demand

Tonight (come out tonight)
Why dontcha

Little girl, wontcha come out tonight?

And all the while Im waitin
I find myself a-singing this little song
Little girl, wontcha come out tonight?

Thats when youll hear me sayin
Pretty please, baby, heres what I ask of you
Little girl, wontcha come out tonight?
Theyre playin our song
Little girl, wontcha come out tonight?
Please dont keep me long
Late at night when Im sleepin

Thats when I find myself schemin
Of ways that I can spend all my nights with you
Come (come, come-a, come-a)
Tonight (come out tonight)

III. The Other Half-Rome

Another day that finds her living yet,
Little Pompilia, with the patient brow
And lamentable smile on those poor lips,
And, under the white hospital-array,
A flower-like body, to frighten at a bruise
You'd think, yet now, stabbed through and through again,
Alive i' the ruins. 'T is a miracle.
It seems that, when her husband struck her first,
She prayed Madonna just that she might live
So long as to confess and be absolved;
And whether it was that, all her sad life long
Never before successful in a prayer,
This prayer rose with authority too dread,—
Or whether, because earth was hell to her,
By compensation, when the blackness broke
She got one glimpse of quiet and the cool blue,
To show her for a moment such things were,—
Or else,—as the Augustinian Brother thinks,
The friar who took confession from her lip,—
When a probationary soul that moved
From nobleness to nobleness, as she,
Over the rough way of the world, succumbs,
Bloodies its last thorn with unflinching foot,
The angels love to do their work betimes,
Staunch some wounds here nor leave so much for God.
Who knows? However it be, confessed, absolved,
She lies, with overplus of life beside
To speak and right herself from first to last,
Right the friend also, lamb-pure, lion-brave,
Care for the boy's concerns, to save the son
From the sire, her two-weeks' infant orphaned thus,
Andwith best smile of all reserved for him—
Pardon that sire and husband from the heart.
A miracle, so tell your Molinists!

There she lies in the long white lazar-house.
Rome has besieged, these two days, never doubt,
Saint Anna's where she waits her death, to hear

When the reluctant wicket opes at last,
Lets in, on now this and now that pretence,
Too many by half,—complain the men of art,—
For a patient in such plight. The lawyers first
Paid the due visit—justice must be done;
They took her witness, why the murder was.
Then the priests followed properly,—a soul
To shrive; 't was Brother Celestine's own right,
The same who noises thus her gifts abroad.
But many more, who found they were old friends,
Pushed in to have their stare and take their talk

Busted

My bills are all due and the baby needs shoes
And Im busted
Cotton is down to a quarter a pound
But Im busted
I got a cow that went dry and a hen that wont lay
A big stack of bills that gets bigger each day
The countys gonna haul my belongings away
cause Im busted.
I went to my brother to ask for a loan
cause I was busted
I hate to beg like a dog without his bone
But Im busted
My brother said there aint a thing I can do
My wife and my kids are all down with the flu
And I was just thinking about callin on you
And Im busted.
Well I am no thief but a man can go wrong
When hes busted
The food that we packed that last summer is gone
And Im busted
The fields are all bare and the cotton wont grow
Me and my famly got to pack up and go
But Ill make a living just where I dont know
cause Im busted.
