Happy Face
My face is raw,
With the flashflood of tears,
My head is pounding,
From crying so hard,
I can't quite comprehend,
Why this has happened.
Thots invading my mind,
Thots of suicide.
I know that wouldn't solve anything,
Plus I don't want her to keep that promise,
So I'll shove those thots back out.
Put on my happy face,
I can't let them see that anything is wrong,
That I might be cracking.
But when I get a chace,
I'll crawl into bed,
...and sleep,
And try to forget that this happened.
When I wake up,
I'll realixe that I could never forget
I'll never feel like I have.
When I was with her.
I'll pretend I never know her,
To get through there two years,
But I'll be emotionless,
Until she comes back,
And if she doesn't.
I'll put on my happy face,
and pretend everything is okay.
