Since you were gone
Each breath I take
Leaves me undone
As my heart breaks.
Deep despair
And cutting pain,
You are not there
I'm alone again.
Endless dying
Loss and torment,
Ceaseless crying -
My strength is spent.
Oh please return!
Each day I die,
Let your love burn,
New hope, for you and I.
