The Father's Dream
You may not know me
But more important
I know you
I knew you at your first breathe
I'll be with you at your last
I stood with you at your best
Held you at your least
I gave you all the right tools
To be the best you could be
Still loved you when you fell short
Of everyone else's expectations
Never turned away from you
Even when you turned away from me
For I do not judge you here
That will come
When all will be judged
I will love you today the same as
Yesterday and tomorrow
For my heart holds only hope
Not hate even when you
Blamed me for the sadness
Brought on by life's journey
For you were always mine
Mine till the end of time
Your inheritance is waiting
With Me in heaven
